Dr. Roberto Trasolini is Director of Endoscopy at Vancouver General Hospital. He completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at UBC, followed by Advanced Endoscopy and Bariatric Endoscopy/Foregut fellowships at Harvard Medical School. He has a special interest in surgery sparing applications of endoscopy. He performed the first endoscopic suturing procedure in Canada and has co-authored multiple publications in the field of bariatric endoscopy including long term effects of bariatric endoscopic procedures and novel treatments for bariatric surgical complications. He is an associate member of the Metabolic Surgery team, a clinical assistant professor and trains fellows at the University of British Columbia.
