Dr. Malcolm Wells is a gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He graduated from Memorial University medical school in 2009. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Western Ontario, followed by a Transplant Hepatology fellowship at Mount Sinai, New York.
He is a licensed member of the Medical Council of Canada and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in internal medicine. Dr. Wells is board certified in gastroenterology by the College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is an associate clinical professor at the University of Alberta.
His clinical practice includes all every flavor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. His areas of expertise include transplant hepatology, cirrhosis, alcohol-associated liver disease and MASLD. He is passionate about clinical research to further medicine and improve patient outcomes.
