Dr. Silverman is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta and a Pediatric Gastroenterologist and Medical Lead for the Children’s Intestinal Rehabilitation Program at the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton. His clinical interests include intestinal rehabilitation and cystic fibrosis. Dr. Silverman has worked to support the mentorship and advancement of training for medical trainees of all stages of training, including acting as Pediatric GI Program Director as well as faculty and Chair for the CAG GRIT program and NASPGHAN First Year Fellows conferences. He now serves as Vice-Chair for the Specialty Committee on Gastroenterology at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, NASPGHAN and the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology. In 2019, he co-created Bowel Sounds: The Pediatric GI Podcast and continues to co-host this biweekly educational podcast.
