Milli is the director of Gut Motility Centre, director of Southern Alberta Eosinophilic Esophagitis Program, and director of Southern Alberta and Calgary Barrett’s Esophagus Program. She obtained her medical degree from University of Western Ontario. She continued her training at the University of Alberta, where she completed her residency in internal medicine and in gastroenterology. Following that, she went to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA, to study esophageal diseases and gastrointestinal neoplasia. Among Dr Gupta’s research interests are Barrett’s esophagus, eosinophilic esophagitis, esophageal motility and motor disorders. Publications include peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and abstracts.
